In May of this year, Jason Lee Oakes (this site’s first webmaster) contributed a multimedia analysis of Obama’s “One Chance” campaign video. This week, Jason has started a blog called “Winning Hearts and Ears,” which continues his exploration of the intersection of music with political campaigns.
In other words, the IASPM-US site has its first official spin-off.
Go check it out. The first post considers the 1908 hit song “Get on the Raft with Taft,” the re-emergence of Taft in 2012, and, of course, Cheap Trick. There will be more on the music at the RNC coming, too.
